Cuplock System Scaffolding
Cuplock is a node-based scaffold system. A forged bottom cup is fixed to the standard at 500 mm intervals. Ledger blades drop into the cup.

How the cup joint locks
Each standard carries a fixed bottom cup at 500 mm spacing. The ledger ends have forged blades. The blade is dropped into the bottom cup.
The top cup slides down over the blade. A hammer strike on the top cup locks the joint. No bolts or wedges are used.
The cup joint is self-centering. It aligns the ledger at the correct level. The connection is rigid under load.
Dismantling is the reverse. The top cup is struck upward. The ledger blade is lifted out of the bottom cup.

Erection sequence for one bay
| Set base jacks | Place base jacks on the ground. Adjust the nuts to a common level. |

| Place standards | Insert the first standards into the base jacks. Check vertical alignment. |
| Connect ledgers | Drop ledger blades into the bottom cups. Slide top cups down and strike. |
| Add diagonal braces | Fit diagonal braces to the cups. Strike the top cups to lock. |
| Install platforms | Lay steel planks on the ledgers. Secure the planks against uplift. |
| Repeat upward | Add the next lift of standards. Repeat the ledger and brace sequence. |
Finish options for cuplock
Cuplock components are available hot-dip galvanized or painted. Hot-dip galvanizing is the standard finish.
Galvanized cuplock resists corrosion. It has a service life of 15 years or more. Painted cuplock is a lower-cost option for dry climates.
Painted finish is available in red, orange, blue, or yellow. The paint is applied after welding. The cup joint works the same in both finishes.
